Frankfurt Airport (German: Flughafen Frankfurt am Main) (IATA code: FRA - ICAO code: EDDF), located in Frankfurt am Main, is the main airport in Germany. It is also the third largest airport in Europe serving the largest number of international destinations behind London Heathrow Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. It is managed by Fraport AG, which gave it its nickname, while the protest movements of the period 1964-1984 earned it the other nickname 'Our Lady of the Landes German'. It is the home base of Lufthansa company. It operates as a main Hub for Lufthansa and Star Alliance.
It has an annual capacity of 70 million passengers. Over 70 airlines operate out of the airport to over 150 destinations across all six inhabited continents.
New Frankfurt International airport features has two operating passenger terminals. Terminal 1 is divided into concourses A, B, C and Z and has a capacity of approximately 50 million passengers per year. Terminal 2, which has a capacity of 15 million passengers a year, was opened in 1994 and is divided into concourses D and E.

- Concourse A: Located west of the check-in area. It has 25 gates
- Concourse B: Located east of the check-in area. It has 18 gates

Terminal 1 is primarily used by Lufthansa, its associated companies (Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, Swiss International Air Lines, and Austrian Airlines) and its Star Alliance partners (e.g. Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, Air India, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, TAP Air Portugal, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines and United Airlines).
